Run Fest Port Macquarie – Marathon

Course Directions (3 Laps – 42.2km | Lap 1: 21.1km, Laps 2 & 3: 10.5km)

Lap 1 – Half Marathon Course (21.1km)

  • Start: Town Green at 7am in your allocated starting wave, heading towards Westport Park.
  • Run through the Short Street car park alongside the boardwalk and cross the start of Clarence Street, continuing through to the Food For Less car park.
  • At the southern end of the car park, turn left towards Short Street, then turn right onto Buller Street (road section).
  • Continue over the Buller Street Bridge (road section) and turn right into the Hollingworth Street car park.
  • Turn left and join the path through Westport Park, then veer left onto the grass section after Livi’s Playground.
  • Continue along the path to Buller Street and turn left to complete a loop alongside the Westport Club.
  • Rejoin Buller Street, then turn right onto Park Street and continue along the road to the turn point.
  • Rejoin the path and veer onto the road near Sails Resort, keeping left to Buller Street.
  • Turn left to rejoin the path heading back towards Livi’s Playground.
  • Turn right after the Livi’s Playground garden and retrace your steps back to the Short Street car park.
  • Turn left and run underneath the Buller Street Bridge and Gordon Street Bridge, entering Kooloonbung Creek Nature Park, then veer left onto Gordon Street.
  • Turn left at Hollingworth Street and follow the path to Kooloonbung Close.
  • Continue along the path beside Ocean Drive to the turn point on Lake Road, then retrace your steps back towards Gordon Street, following the path to the turn point before the Lake Road junction.
  • Head back to the Town Green, joining the Breakwall path and continuing past the skate park.
  • Veer right before the end of the breakwall (near the skate park) and follow the path through to the Town Beach Alban Place car park.
  • Continue to the end of Town Beach, then return to the Alban Place car park.
  • Turn left onto Stewart Street and follow the road to Rocky Beach Lookout, then retrace your steps and climb to the top of Mrs York’s Garden.
  • Turn around at the top of Mrs York’s Garden and return to Alban Place.
  • Run down the Breakwall and complete Lap 1 at Town Green.

Laps 2 & 3 – 10.5km Loop

  • From Town Green, follow the course towards Park Street and continue to the Park Street turn point.
  • Retrace your steps back to Town Green, joining the Breakwall path and continuing past the skate park.
  • Veer right before the end of the breakwall (near the skate park) and follow the path through to the Town Beach Alban Place car park.
  • Continue to the end of Town Beach, turn, and return along the same route back towards Town Green.
  • Continue through Town Green to begin the next lap.
  • At the completion of the final lap, veer into the centre of Town Square to the Finish Line.

  • At the southern end of the car park, turn left towards Short Street, then turn right onto Buller Street (road section).
  • Continue over the Buller Street Bridge (road section) and turn right into the Hollingworth Street car park.
  • Turn left and join the path through Westport Park, then veer left onto the grass section after Livi’s Playground.
  • Continue along the path up to Buller Street and turn left to complete a loop alongside the Westport Club.
  • Rejoin Buller Street, then turn right onto Park Street and continue along the road to the turn point.
  • Rejoin the path and veer onto the road near Sails Resort, keeping left to Buller Street.
  • Turn left to rejoin the path heading back towards Livi’s Playground.
  • Turn right after the Livi’s Playground garden and retrace your steps back to the Short Street car park.
  • Turn left and run underneath the Buller Street Bridge and Gordon Street Bridge, entering Kooloonbung Creek Nature Park, then veer left onto Gordon Street.
  • Turn left at Hollingworth Street and follow the path to Kooloonbung Close.
  • Continue along the path beside Ocean Drive to the turn point on Lake Road, then retrace your steps back towards Gordon Street, following the path to the turn point before the Lake Road junction.
  • Head back to the Town Green, joining the Breakwall path and continuing past the skate park.
  • Veer right before the end of the breakwall (near the skate park) and follow the path through to the Town Beach Alban Place car park.
  • Continue to the end of Town Beach, then return to the Alban Place car park.
  • Turn left onto Stewart Street and follow the road to Rocky Beach Lookout, then retrace your steps and climb to the top of Mrs York’s Garden.
  • Turn around at the top of Mrs York’s Garden and return to Alban Place.
  • Run down the Breakwall and finish in Town Square.

 ATHLETES FOOT 10KM 1 LAP RUN COURSE STEP BY STEP

  • Start at Town Green heading toward Westport Park at 9am in your allocated starting wave
  • Through Short Street car park alongside the board walk across the start of Clarence Street. Follow to the Food For Less car park
  • Take a left turn towards Short street at the southern end of the car park
  • Turn right onto Short Street (road section)
  • Turn right onto Buller Street (road section)
  • Run over the Buller Street bridge (road section) and turn right at the Marine Rescue Car Park
  • Turn left and join onto the path through Westport park then veer left on the grass section after Livi’s Playground
  • Continue on the path up to Buller street and turn left onto Buller street.
  • Turn Right onto Park Street and continue on the road (keeping left)
  • Continue on toward Settlement Point over first bridge (road section)
  • Continue on the road, over the second bridge and continue on the road to the turn around point joining on the path heading back towards town.
  • After approximately 100m re-join the road section via driveway
  • Follow the road back to the second bridge on Settlement Point Rd. Cross the bridge via the path.
  • Veer back on the road after the bridge
  • Re-join the path before the first bridge on Settlement Point Road and follow the path to the Sails Resort. Veer right onto Park Street and follow keeping left to Buller Street.
  • Turn left to re-join path heading back to Livi’s playground.
  • Turn right after the Livi’s playground garden and retrace steps back to Town Green
  • Past town green join onto the break wall and follow along past the skate park
  • Veer right before the end of the break wall (skate park)
  • Follow the path through to the town beach car park
  • SECOND TURNAROUND POINT at the end of Town Beach
  • Return the same way back to Town Green
  • Continue along the Town Green Path and veer left into the centre of the Town Square
  • Finish in the Town Square

  • Through Short Street car park alongside the board walk across the start of Clarence Street. Follow to the Food For Less car park
  • Take a left turn towards Short street at the southern end of the car park
  • Turn right onto Short Street (road section)
  • Turn right onto Buller Street (road section)
  • Run over the Buller Street bridge (road section) and turn right at the Marine Rescue Car Park
  • Turn left and join onto the path through Westport park then veer left on the path toward Park Street
  • FIRST TURNAROUND POINT at approximately 100m after Marine Rescue at West Port Park
  • Return the same way until Town Green
  • Past town green join onto the break wall and follow along past the skate park
  • Veer right before the end of the break wall
  • Follow the path through to the town beach car park
  • SECOND TURNAROUND POINT at the end of Town Beach
  • Return the same way back to Town Green
  • Veer left into the centre of the Town Square
  • Finish in the Town Square

  • Through Short Street car park alongside the board walk across the start of Clarence Street. Follow to the Food For Less car park
  • Take a left turn towards Short street at the southern end of the car park
  • Turn right onto Short Street (road section)
  • Turn right onto Buller Street (road section)
  • Run over the Buller Street bridge (road section) and turn right at the Marine Rescue Car Park
  • Turn left and join onto the path through Westport park then veer left on the path toward Park Street
  • Join onto the path through Westport park then veer left on the grass section after Livi’s Playground
  • Continue on the path up towards turn around point
  • Head back along the West Port Park path and back to Town Green
  • Follow the Town Green path to the eastern end turn point
  • Continue along the Town Green Path and veer left into the centre of the Town Square
  • Finish in the Town Square
